Hey Reader,

Towards the end of last year (2023) I realized that I'd had the best year ever in my business. πŸ™Œ

A large reason for this is due to the recurring income model I have in place.

I have two memberships (aka recurring income):

  1. The Digital Income Accelerator (1-on-1 coaching and group support program)
  2. The Recurring Profits Academy Alumni (ongoing access to the RPA coaching and DIA membership)

So what's the difference between recurring income vs. consistent income?

Recurring income means that you're getting the same amount of money (more or less) each month. There is an ongoing fee with no end date.

Consistent income means that you're selling courses, coaching packages, services etc that have an end date. This means that you need to be bringing constant traffic to your sales pages.

Between both of my memberships, I earn $5k+ per month.

This is what I call my business baseline.

Having this baseline allows me to make decisions that aren't driven by money.

Instead, I make choices about projects and clients I work with based on what feels easy and fun for me.

Now, not everyone needs or wants a recurring income model.

You might be just starting out in your online business. A recurring income model (with the exception of a subscription business) is not the fastest path to cash when you don't have an audience or know what they need.

You're better off building your audience, having conversations with them, and getting to understand what they need BEFORE you invest your time and money into creating recurring income.

Of course, if you have cash flow already, then starting a recurring income business allows you to get your own 'business baseline' without having to worry about how you're gonna pay the bills.
